The Road from Copenhagen: Energy Technology, Policy & Innovation” With Dr Ernest J Moniz, Cecil and Ida Green Professor of Physics and Engineering Systems, Director of the Energy Initiatives & Dr Robert Stoner, Assistant Director of the Energy Initiatives, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), US Coinciding with the visit of Prof Ernest J Moniz, Cecil and Ida Green Professor of Physics and Engineering Systems, Director of the Energy Initiative, MIT and Prof Robert Stoner, Assistant Director, MIT Energy Initiative for Developing Countries, CII is organizing a Interactive Session on “The Road from Copenhagen: Energy Technology, Policy & Innovation” on Tuesday, 16 February 2010 at Hotel Taj Mahal, New Delhi. Renewable Energy would constitute big share in India’s future energy mix keeping in view our endeavor to build a green & low carbon economy. With this in background, the session will focus on MIT initiatives in renewable energy technologies such as - Solar PV (high efficiency & lower cost next generation technologies); Solar Thermal (lowering cost & establishing performance); Wind Energy (Smaller turbines, blade manufacturing); Waste to Energy (Gasification & Other Technologies, energy generation); Energy Storage (very important from distributed generation point of view); Fuel cells and Bio Fuels and also discuss collaboration opportunities.
