Monsoon Wager

A recent Greenpeace report suggests that climate change could bring about significant change in the intensity, geographic distribution and inter-seasonal breaks in the monsoon, which would have enormous social consequences.

Trends in Extreme Daily Precipitation Indices in India

Trends in seasonal precipitation extremes – An indicator of ‘climate change’ in Kerala, India

This paper studies the recent occurrences of off-seasonal natural disasters, such as pre-monsoon drought and post-monsoon flooding in India to look at the patterns of change in seasonal extremes at the local level. Kerala has been chosen as a case study.
